(re)adjusted Hermes

A unique island site in the UN buffer-zone, once the main bazaar street of Nicosia, a new Hermes store is imagined as a space for the fleet footed god of boundaries … opening to north and south through a tiny bazaar that permits the inevitable cheap fakes to juxtapose with the impossibly expensive originals.

Locally crafted vitrines displaying Hermes ‘desirables’ puncture the walls of the new building flanking its circulation and create peepholes between inside and outside worlds.
